We actively encourage Members to both enjoy and develop their photography. There are a number of ways in which to do this. The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) has a Distinctions programme through which Members can apply for various levels of Competency. The Photographic Society of America (PSA) has a similar route, as has the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP). We have a number of our Members actively pursuing these qualifications.
In 2019, Andrew Hersom gained his PPSA with the PSA. The PPSA (Proficiency) was achieved by gaining 288 acceptances (96 titles) in PSA recognised international salons with monochrome, colour and travel projected digital images. He also got his AFIAP in May of this year.
Also in May of this year, Dave Robson gained his EFIAP/b.
