After a lot of hard work by many people, the YPU Assembly went off seamlessly.
Introductions and Welcome provided by our current YPU President, Marilyn Roberts, a short welcome by the f4 Chairman, Nigel Dalton and then....
We enjoyed a splendid PDI show put together and narrated by Richard Littlefair of the YPU. There was an insight into the philosophy and photography of our Guest Speaker, Adam Karnacz of First Man Photography. He spoke about his background and the transition from the Police Force to professional photographer and it was backed up at the end of his presentation by some of his work in landscape photography. Adam then presented all of our Certificate and Award Winners with their prizes, together with our Current Treasurer and President Elect, Chris Hodgson.
We had many photographs taken by one of our members Julian Ogino-Stamford who, despite an early mishap when his flash snapped off his hot-shoe, performed a sterling task and kept the show rolling.
I 'm delighted to take the opportunity to thank Tony Courts and James in the Middleton Hall who provided faultless continuity and technical backup for our event and the Catering Department for putting on a great buffet for us beforehand.
All the hard work was worth it - I was honoured to receive the Jordan Trophy on behalf of f4 Photographic Group for the Best Digitally Projected Image Club.
