Welcome to The f4 Photographic Group - a club formed by like minded amateur photographers based in West Hull.
We meet every Thursday evening at The Highway Public House, Willerby Road, Hull HU5 5LH starting in the bar before moving to the club room.
The f4 Group has been in existence for almost 30 years and adopts a strong social style, incorporating visits, outings and extended photo trips, as well as interacting with other local clubs.
We have almost 30 members all with varying photographic interests and abilities. We welcome members of all ages and will offer encouragement and support for all members.
Club History
The f4 Photographic Group started meeting as part of a local photography A-Level evening class in 1984, but moved to holding our own meetings in 1992, when the various photographic exams had been achieved. The group originally met in Beverley East Yorkshire at the Rose and Crown public house.
We quickly became known as a highly competitive slide group within both the PAGB and Yorkshire Photographic Union and with local Hull and East Riding clubs.
By 2010 all competitions went completely digital.
Competitions
The f4 Photographic competes within the Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU) and the Photo Alliance of Great Britain(PAGB). This includes GB Cup and GB Cup-Nature
